Based on these considerations, we develop optimized process scheme along with the process flow diagram and the heat and material balance for the facility. We conduct these studies for various green field projects including ones involving scale-up from laboratory / pilot plant scale to commercial scale.

   Selection of commercially available technologies can often be a complex activity with various factors playing into the mix. We enable our clients to solve these various factors and determine the best technology for their requirements.

   When clients develop technologies in their own / third-party R&D laboratories, often these technologies have to undergo process intensification. In these cases, we interact with the R&D teams to direct them towards the kind of data required for firming up the process scheme.      Gas Processing :
       Various technologies are required to ensure that natural or associated natural gas can be effectively monetized. Some of the technology solutions we offer include

     Glycol-based dehydration process :

Gas Dehydration :- Removal of water / moisture from the gas stream is essential to prevent hydrate formation as well as corrosion. We offer efficient glycol-based dehydration solutions to meet the process requirements. Moreover, we also offer solid-state dehydration solutions which can meet even tighter requirements for LPG / LNG processing.

Gas Enrichment :- Rejection of inert components like Nitrogen increases the gas calorific value for better value realization. We offer low-cost pressure swing absorption based technologies to achieve these objectives.

Dew Point Suppression :- When hydrocarbon liquids (condensate) get carried forward with the gas, this solution enables the condensation of all the hydrocarbon liquids. This ensures that the gas becomes entirely dry of any liquids either for pipeline transmission or consumption for dry-gas applications like gas turbines and others.

LPG Plant :- Extracting high-value C3/C4 components from natural gas is usually a viable option. These components can be sold separately as Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). The balance gas can be sold as natural gas.

     Ammonia Separation & Recovery :
       Process streams containing ammonia salts can often be challenging to treat for effluent discharge. Moreover, the loss of valuable ammonia has an impact on the operating margins of the plant. We offer highly efficient technology solutions for the whole range of ammonia salt solutions including dilute solutions with less than 1% ammonia to rich stream with over 5% ammonia. We recover ammonia in the form of aqueous ammonia solutions or even as anhydrous ammonia. Our process treats the ammonia salt solution with a strong base to release ammonia in the aqueous phase. Tight energy integration followed by stripping / distillation / absorption enables the recovery process while meeting the specifications for the product ammonia as well as the discharge stream. The process has the advantages of high ammonia recovery, low energy and capital costs. The plants generally have an attractive payback period. The process is relatively simple to operate and uses routine equipment. Various forms of this technology are commercially used in several plants designed by us.

     Solvent Separation & Re-circulation :

       Solvents are widely used in the chemicals' and pharmaceuticals' industry. High recovery of the solvents often has a controlling impact on the operating margins of the plant. Our process treats the crude solvent mixture in separation systems which consist of distillation, extraction and other separation methods. The recovered solvent is recycled to the process plant. Recovering solvent offers the following major advantages:
         ► Reduces solvent cost significantly
         ► Makes the product cost immune to the solvent price
         ► Reduces solvent storage requirements
         ► Enhances the plant safety
         ► Avoids the need for the sale of crude solvent

     Feasibility Reports :

       In order to embark upon a green field project, often we offer the preparation of a preliminary feasibility report (PFR). In addition to technical conceptualization, we also cover various marketing and financial aspects as part of these reports. The extent of depths to which we take these reports depends on the client requirements. Often we develop reports with extensive technical, market & raw material as well as financial information – detailed feasibility report (DFR). As the requirements for the accuracy of the financial numbers increases, greater the level of technical details are required.
